The fasteners (Stainless Steel 316) are made of the UNS S31600 grade that possesses good pitting and crevice corrosion resistance in chloride environments and thus can be used in marine and coastal regions. These 316 bolts and nuts have a typical tensile strength of about 75,000 psi (515 MPa) and can withstand changing loads and temperatures. 316L fasteners, graded UNS S31603, are low carbon versions that are more weldable, and less prone to intergranular corrosion and are therefore favored in fabrication-intensive applications and in environments with acidic or chloride-containing environments.

In applications where high strength at high temperatures is needed, Stainless Steel 316H fasteners (UNS S31609) have greater tensile and yield strengths, because they have a higher carbon content. These fasteners are dependable to temperatures of 800 o C (1472 o F), and are therefore suitable in heat exchangers, power plants and chemical reactors. In the meantime, 316Ti fasteners are stabilized with titanium to avoid carbide precipitation during welding, which greatly enhances intergranular attack resistance and service life in extremely corrosive conditions, particularly in petrochemical and pharmaceutical industries.

We offer a wide variety of products in these 316 stainless steel grades such as hex bolts, socket head cap screws, heavy hex nuts, studs, washers and threaded rods. Special sizes, threading and finishes including passivation or electro-polishing are offered to suit specific project needs. These fasteners have superior strength in extreme conditions, such as saltwater, acidic environments, and varying temperatures.
