• 304L: Excellent weldability due to very low carbon, which reduces the risk of carbide precipitation during welding.
  • 304: Good weldability, but may require proper care (filler materials, post-weld treatment) to maintain corrosion resistance.
  • 304H: Can be welded, but because of its higher carbon, there is a risk of sensitization (carbide precipitation) if exposed to certain temperatures; may need solution annealing or controlled cooling.
